YOUTH DEPARTMENT

The Bible in Ecclesiastes 12:1 tells us to remember God in the days of our Youth. The Youth stage is the peak of man’s life. Once the youth stage of a man is wasted, his entire life is a mess and he will require divine intervention to redeem and restore the many years he lost in unproductivity and vain babblings.

The Youth department is the backbone of the Ministry because it is not only the support on which the ministry stands but the future of the Same. Therefore as part of that Joshua Generation that our Father is raising, the youth ministry is full of robust youth, on fire for God but fully grounded in the Word of God

Under the Visionary and wise counsel of the Bishop, the youth ministry is subdivided into different sectors in order to harness the various potentials of the youths so as to maximumly impact the generation and these include the choir [music ministry], drama, evangelism, students ministry, sports and recreation, intercession groups, mobilisation as well as welfare/ follow-up teams. We are further divided into different age groups to meet the need of the hour i.e. the teenagers[13-19years], the prime youths[20-30years] and old youths[31-40 years]

We have weekly sessions on Friday in the first session of the overnight, Saturdays between 3-4:30pm [EAT], weekly intercession on Tuesdays and Wednesdays every 2 weeks as well as Lunch hours in the periodic Youth weeks. We also organize seminars and conferences such as The Back2School for students in Holidays as well as Youth Emerge Conventions annually.

Wholesomely, the end of our conversation is not only to immortalize the sacrifices of our fathers past and Present, but also to be the beacon of hope in a hurting world carrying Jesus from the four corners of the church walls to all strata of human influence and affluence to the end that the nations come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ!
