Prayer Palace Christian Centre is an indigenous non-denominational christian faith-based organisation with an Apostolic mandate of reaching out to all and sundry with the Gospel of Our Lord Jesus Christ and equipping them with the arsenals of victory that turn them into men of stature both in the Kingdom and in their generation through discipleship with sound doctrine.

Since our inception in 1988, we raise Generals of Generals and leaders of leaders and we stand on three foundational pillars namely:

a) Intercessory Prayer

b) The Word of God as the Supreme authority

c) Evangelism

Our Mission

To become a resource center that equips the Believer for their God-ordained purpose through providing for their spiritual, intellectual and practical needs
(Ephesians. 4:12)

Our Vision

To evangelize the whole world, establish worship centers(plant churches), train Gospel Ministers to go into the whole world and make disciples.
(MAT 24:14)

OUR GENESIS

Reminiscing the Past:

In 1988, Apostle Deogratius Balabyekkubo and Bishop Grivas K. Musisi together with the church elders then  entered into days of prayer and fasting to seek God’s mind concerning the identity of this ministry.

It is in this time, that the Lord impressed it upon the Heart of Ap. Deo that it shall be called a House of Prayer for all Nations and thus the Name Prayer Palace was born in the same year with Ap. Deo as the founder and Bishop Grivas K. Musisi as the co-founder.

About 5 years later, Ap. Deo while in Canada on Apostolic work received an Instruction from God to return to Uganda and pray for His people and He(God) would come and Heal them as He promised in 2 Chronicles 7:14.

On His return from Canada, he declared a time of intense prayer and fasting of close to 160 days after which many people experienced the power of God in a mighty way notable of which was Miraculous healing of HIV/AIDS that had become a scourge within Uganda and other parts of Africa [given that there were no ARV’s or relieving medication then]. Over 400 people who had medical records of being HIV positive were miraculously cured which brought the City and the Nation to a standstill in the Mighty healing crusades that happened for close to six  months[from late 1994- early 1995] at clock tower [ssaawa ya Queen in the local dialect]

Ap. Deo later passed on in May 1995 at the age of 38 years and prior to his demise, he was married to Rev. Christine Balabyekkubo and fathered 8 biological children.

He fathered many Generals both within and outside Uganda and the embers of the flames of revival he had started opened a new chapter in Ugandan Church History

Continuation of a Legacy

He left the ministry in the care and hands of Dr.Bishop Musisi K. Grivas under whose stewardship, the ministry has continued, grown and multiplied with over 375 church branches as well as continuing to raise countless Generals in the Kingdom both at the local scene and overseas.

The Church likewise has expanded from the small and despicable housing in the 1990’s to a large permanent building and now we have embarked on building a much bigger auditorium with added features to not only be a place of worship but support the full strength work of the Ministry.

Schools such as Nakyessa Day and Boarding schools [primary and secondary] for the orphans and children from poor families have as well been set up in Kayunga, Uganda.

To-date, Prayer Palace Christian Centre regardless of the many pitfalls and incumberences,  still remains a Hub of Intercessory Prayer, a model of In-depth exegesis of the true doctrine of  Christ with an evangelistic approach as well as a training gymnasium of the Spirit where Generals and Leaders both of the Now and the Future are trained.
